SALADO, Texas -- The Concordia University Texas women's golf team finished in ninth place on Monday during the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Spring Invitational at Mill Creek Country Club. Freshman #Amanda Herrera# paced the Tornados by finishing tied for 35th place.
Herrera shot a 102 in the first 18 holes on Monday and improved to shoot a 100 on the final 18. Senior #Caroline Cole# carded a 232 overall to finish in 44th place.
Newcomer
Sophie Weber shot 248 on the day to finish in 46th place, while freshman #Breanna Conner# recorded a 265 to place 47th overall.
Redlands Community College's Jessica Schiele claimed the individual title after firing a six-over 152. Western Texas Community College took home the team crown after shooting a combined 654 in the 36-hole tournament.
The Tornados will return to the links on March 1 at the Schreiner University Spring Shootout at The Club at Comanche Trail in Kerrville.
