FINAL RESULTS: Team | Individual
CONCAN, Texas -- The Concordia University Texas men's golf team struggled during the final round of the ConCan Intercollegiate Classic at The Club at ConCan. Freshman #Eddie Diaz de Leon# led Concordia in the tournament after finishing in a tie for 18th place.
Diaz de Leon turned in a team-low 79 in the final 18 holes on Tuesday. He carded a 160 over 36 holes at ConCan.
Overall, the Tornados finished in fifth place, falling two spots from their first 18 holes on Monday. Junior #Michael Goldwater# finished tied for 21st place after recording a 163 two-day total.
#C.J. Caliendo# tied for the team-low on Tuesday after shooting a 79. He finished the tournament tied for 29th place with a 163. #J.D. Heathcoat# and #Justin Muraida# finished in 31st and 41st places, respectively. Muraida fell 37 spots during the final day of the tournament.
Trinity claimed both the team and individual titles. Jonathan Alden took home the individual crown for Trinity after shooting a six-over par 148 in the event, including a tournament-low 69 in the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
Concordia will return to the links on March 28-30 at the University of Texas-Dallas Spring Classic at Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson.
