SEGUIN, Texas --
A 21-0 run in the second half helped the Concordia University Texas men's basketball team overcome a 10-point second half deficit to defeat Texas Lutheran University, 85-76, at Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday.

Trailing 54-44 with 14:23 remaining, Concordia (14-9, 12-7) turned to its freshmen guards for a spark.  #Larry Durand# and #Nick Haynes# combined for five three-pointers over the next six minutes to pace a 21-0 run and help the Tornados move out to a 65-54 lead.  CTX would not look back in the final eight minutes as TLU (6-17, 4-15 ASC) would get only as close as eight points.

As a team, Concordia shot 54.5-percent (30-of-55) from the field, including 45.8-percent (11-of-24) from beyond the arc.  Haynes finished the day with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting.  Haynes buried five three-pointers on the afternoon.  #Collin Perkins# and #Tayler Jacobs# each tallied 10 points.  Durand, who helped spark the big comeback, scored six points, both coming off three-pointers.
