SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Sophomore #Warren Sanders# paced the Concordia University Texas men's cross country team and led the Tornados to a ninth place finish overall at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational Saturday morning.

Sanders finished 22nd overall and was the sixth fastest NCAA Division III runner with a time of 29:29.3.

Freshman #TJ Bernal# finished with a time of 33:26.5 and placed 58th overall for Concordia Texas.

Freshman #Matthew Mecum# turned in a time of 36:56.7 and finished in 70th place overall.

Sophomore #Mark Giardinelli# rounded out the CTX runners with a 73rd place finish after crossing the line with a time of 42:03.4.

The Tornados will prepare for the ASC Championships on Oct. 31 in Clinton, Miss.
