SEGUIN, Texas -- Sophomore #Warren Sanders# paced the Concordia University Texas men's cross country team by finishing 22nd overall at the Texas State NCAA Division III Championship meet, hosted by Texas Lutheran University Saturday morning.

Overall, the Tornados finished eighth as a team.  Sanders completed the course in 29:33.3 to lead the Tornados.

Freshman #TJ Bernal# was next finisher for CTX after placing 65th overall with a time of 36:38.7 on the course.

Freshman #Matthew Mecum# finished with a time of 37:05.7 and placed 66th overall.

Trinity University claimed the team title after Bryant Wright and Chase Armstrong finished in first and second places to lead the pack.

Concordia Texas will return to Seguin on Saturday, Oct. 3 for the Texas Lutheran Invitational.
