SEGUIN, Texas -- Sophomore #Joli Bula# recorded a 21st place finish overall to lead the Concordia University Texas women's cross country team Saturday at the NCAA Division III Texas State Championship meet, hosted by Texas Lutheran University.

Bula finished just under four minutes behind the leader after turning in a time of 27:08.7 to lead CTX.

Overall, the Tornados scored an eighth place finish in the event.

Freshman #Maria Arreola# placed 42nd overall after running the course in 29:30.4.  Freshman #Katelyn Bailey# finished the event with a time of 30:02.9 and locked up 47th place.

McMurry University took home the team championship and Trinity University's Caitlin Masse won the individual championship with a time of 23:09.

The Tornados will compete again on Saturday, Oct. 3 in Seguin at the Texas Lutheran Invitational.
