RICHARDSON, Texas -- Concordia University Texas senior forward #Brad Walker# was named the American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week, it was announced by ASC media relations director Greg Weghorst this evening.

Walker led the Tornados to a pair of wins last week over No. 10 Mississippi College and Louisiana College.  Walker scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds to help CTX knock the Choctaws from the ranks of unbeaten teams.  Two days later, Walker posted career highs in points (30), blocked shots (5) and steals (5).  He also tied his career high for free throws made (10) and set the CTX record for most points scored at Concordia Fieldhouse.

The Brenham, Texas, native averaged 26 points, nine rebounds, three-and-a-half steals and three blocked shots over the two-game stretch.  Walker leads the Tornados in scoring (18.0 ppg) and rebounding (7.3 rpg).  Earlier this season, Walker was named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week in back-to-back weeks.

The Tornados are currently riding a four-game win streak, their longest since the 2007-08 season.
