AUSTIN, Texas – Concordia Texas athletic director Ronda Seagraves and basketball head coaches Stan Bonewitz and Matt Wallis have announced several promotional events in the months of December and January.

First, the men's game against Southwestern on Dec. 2 will feature a table set up to raise funds for Water to Thrive. Water to Thrive is an Austin-based charity that raises funds for building wells to improve access to clean water in Africa. Additionally, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas.

The SAAC food drive continues Dec. 8 when the women take on Texas Lutheran and at the Dec. 13 doubleheader against Rust.

In January, the squads will host an alumni game day during Concordia's doubleheader against LeTourneau on Jan. 9 when former Stags, Lady Stags and Tornados will be recognized in each contest. A small reception will be held between games.
