Austin, Texas – Sam Lane went 2-for-4 and provided a clutch single in the fourth inning as Texas-Tyler rallied to defeat California Lutheran by a 3-2 score in an elimination game at the NCAA Division III West Regional Baseball Tournament on Friday, May 17 at Tornado Field.
Both teams scored two runs in the first inning. Nick Boggan hit an RBI double and scored one play later courtesy of a single by Ramsey Abushahla to give California Lutheran a 2-0 advantage that would not last long.
