Junior Chance Leissner of the baseball team is the 28th Taco Bell Athlete of the Week for the 2012-13 academic year. He is earning the award for the first time of his career.

Leissner, who entered the weekend having gone 0-for-1 the entire season, broke out offensively by hitting 5-for-9 with a home run, double and five runs batted in against the Yellow Jackets. He also scored twice and recorded at least one hit and one RBI in each game.

A business major from Bay City, Texas, Leissner is the son of Linda and Denton Leissner. He has two twin brothers, Poth and Cole.
