Junior Megan Wagenaar of the women’s track & field team is the 37th and final Taco Bell Athlete of the Week for the 2012-13 academic year. She is earning the award for the eighth time of her career.
Wagenaar won the 800-meter run at the Incarnate Word Last Chance Meet in 2:17.95, which outdistanced the rest of the field by nearly three seconds. The junior ended the spring with program records in the 400-meter dash as well as the 800- and 1,500-meter runs.
Wagenaar, a business major from Missouri City, Texas, is the daughter of Jane and Lucas Wagenaar. She has one sister, Ashley.
