Freshman shortstop Haley Dennett (Edinburg, Texas / Edinburg North HS) was the catalyst for the Tornados all week at the plate and extended her hitting streak to nine games. Dennett had four consecutive multi-hit contests and has scored at least once in five straight games. She drove in the game-winning runs against Trinity in the series opener (Feb. 24). For the week, Dennett was 9-of-19 at the plate for a .474 average with four doubles, two triples, two RBI, scored six runs and had 17 total bases with a .895 slugging percentage.
