SHERMAN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's tennis team overpowered Austin College by a score of 9-0. Freshman duo
Steven Scholz and
Jake Riggs highlighted the day with an 8-0 victory on court three doubles at the Austin College Tennis Complex on Saturday.
Joshua Bode and
Adrian Munguia took care of business with an 8-3 win on line one, whileÂ
Daniel Beckles and
Kishan Kersten cruised to an 8-1 victory on court two. Scholz and Riggs swept their opponents, before the Tornados headed to singles play.
Bode kept up the momentum with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph, and Kersten collected the lone singles sweep of the day on court two.
Esteban Arredondo won his match on court three by a score of 6-4, 6-2, and
Diego Cromeens earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory on line four.
Jake Riggs had a solid outing on court five with an identical score of 6-1, 6-1.
Hunter Green capped off the sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the final match of the day.Â
Concordia Texas will be right back in action tomorrow in Richardson, Texas at UT Dallas. First serve is set for noon.
