The Concordia Texas men's tennis team came out firing in their third match of the season, completely overwhelming Austin College in a flawless 7-0 sweep at East View High School.
From the first serve, the Tornados took control, showcasing their depth, dominance, and determination in a match that was never in doubt.
While two doubles matches went unfinished, the momentum had already swung heavily in Concordia's favor.
Aaron Griffin and
Ethan Garcia secured a win by forfeit at No. 3 doubles, giving the Tornados an early edge as they set the tone for the commanding performance to follow.
Once singles play began, it was all Concordia. At the No. 1 spot, nationally ranked
Steven Scholz (#25) delivered a clinical 6-2, 6-4 victory, dictating the pace from start to finish.
Daniel Beckles was unstoppable at No. 2, cruising to a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win.
Aaron Griffin and
Ethan Garcia followed with straight-set victories, while
Hunter Green and
Jack Rectenwald capped off the Tornados' perfect outing with wins by forfeit.
