AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's tennis team left no doubt about their dominance, dismantling McMurry University in a commanding 7-0 sweep at River Place Country Club. The Tornados were relentless from start to finish, overpowering their opponents in every facet of the match to improve to an impressive 5-2 on the season.

Concordia wasted no time making a statement in doubles play. The powerhouse duo of Isabella Cepeda and Kayla Pena showed resilience under pressure, grinding out a clutch 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles. Meanwhile, Aria Moreni and Emily Pullen took control at No. 2, rolling to a dominant 6-1 win. At No. 3, Rebekah McQueen and Emmy Mize secured an automatic win by default, giving the Tornados a clean sweep and a wave of momentum heading into singles.

The Tornados were simply unstoppable in singles play, refusing to drop a single set. At No. 1,  Pena was locked in, overpowering her opponent 6-3, 6-0 in a dominant display.  Cepeda followed with a commanding 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 2, while Valerie Sanchez handled business at No. 3 with a decisive 6-4, 6-2 win. At No. 4, McQueen put on a clinic, delivering a ruthless 6-0, 6-0 shutout. With McMurry defaulting at No. 5 and No. 6, Jeauxleigh Cantu and Emmy Mize picked up automatic wins to cap off the Tornado takeover.

With momentum on their side, the Tornados now turn their attention to Gustavus Adolphus College, set for a showdown on March 4 at 5:00 PM in Georgetown, Texas. Concordia is firing on all cylinders and ready to keep rolling.
