HOUSTON,
Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team notched their third-straight conference win with a 4-3 thriller over the University of St. Thomas.
Emily Pullen and
Valerie Sanchez set the tone with a 6-0 sweep on flight two doubles. The duo of
Alyssa Estrella and
Jeauxleigh Cantu would come up clutch with a 6-3 triumph to clutch the doubles point for CTX.
With both teams splitting singles play, Sanchez (6-3, 6-2 on line two) and
Kailey Albrecht (6-1, 6-1 on line six) powered their way to wins. After falling in the first set,
Johanna Winkler would put on a heroic performance to surge to a win on flight one.
Concordia Texas will now immediately hit the road for Longview, Texas to take on LeTourneau University tomorrow. First serve is scheduled for 10am.
