AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 victory over McMurry on Saturday. The Tornados extended their win streak to six on what served as Senior Day at River Place Country Club.
The Tornados took control early in doubles, earning a decisive 6-2 win at the No. 1 spot behind Aria Moreni and Johanna Winkler. Concordia also picked up wins by default at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to secure the early advantage.
In singles, the Tornados continued to dominate, winning five of six flights. Alyssa Estrella earned a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles, while Concordia added four more wins by default at No. 3 through No. 6 to seal the match. Kailey Albrecht battled at the top spot, pushing her match to a third-set tiebreaker.
Concordia Texas will next travel to Clarksville, Arkansas to take on the University of the Ozarks next Friday, April 17th. First serve is scheduled for 1pm.
