FAIR OAKS RANCH, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's tennis team, who entered the SCAC Tournamnet as the two-seed, saw its remarkable postseason run come to an end in the SCAC Championship match, falling 4-0 to the top-seeded No. 24 Colorado College.
In a match that was originally scheduled for 9am on the campus of Schreiner University, the Tornados and Tigers had to move the match to the Fair Oaks Tennis Courts with a resumed start time just after 5pm.
The Tornados entered the final riding a nine-match win streak, tied for the longest in program history (2022-23 season), but faced a strong Tigers squad that controlled the match from the start. Colorado College secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3, taking early momentum.
In singles play, the Tigers continued to apply pressure, clinching the match with straight-set victories at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 to seal the title.
Despite the result, Concordia's run to the championship capped off a historic stretch for the program, highlighted by resilience, consistency, and one of the longest winning streaks the team has ever seen.
