Parker Smith joined the Concordia University Texas golf coaching staff as a graduate assistant ahead of the 2026-27 season following a four-year playing career with the Tornados.
A native of Harlingen, Texas, Smith competed for Concordia from 2022-26 after graduating from Harlingen High School. During his collegiate career, Smith developed into one of the Tornados' top golfers and earned all-conference recognition in three consecutive seasons. He was named Second Team All-ASC in 2024 before earning All-SCAC honors in both 2025 and 2026.
Smith earned his first collegiate individual tournament victory at the 2025 SU Spring Fling, firing rounds of 71 and 73 to finish at 144 (+4) and win the event by five strokes. He also helped Concordia capture the team championship by 10 strokes.
As a senior in 2025-26, Smith continued to be one of CTX's most consistent performers. He placed eighth at the San Antonio Shootout after opening the tournament with back-to-back rounds of 71 and later tied for seventh at the SCAC Championships with a 181 (+1), earning Second Team All-SCAC honors.
Smith also earned recognition for his work in the classroom during his playing career, being named a 2023-24 NCAA Division III Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar. He was also a two-time ASC Golfer of the Week during the spring of 2024.
Smith now transitions from student-athlete to coach, bringing four years of experience within the Concordia Texas golf program to his role as a graduate assistant.
