Paul Sherrill is currently the Assistant Cross Country/Track Distance Coach. After serving as the program's volunteer assistant for his first two years, Sherrill was promoted in the summer of 2026. During his time with the Tornados, Sherrill has played an integral role in developing the cross country and distance programs by designing individualized training plans, assisting with daily practices, mentoring student-athletes, supporting recruiting efforts, and coordinating team travel & meet operations. 

A former NCAA Division I student-athlete at Texas Tech University, Sherrill earned NCAA Second Team All-America honors in indoor track and field, collected multiple All-Big 12 accolades, and helped the Red Raiders capture Big 12 Track & Field Championships. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Athletic Coaching from Texas Tech and is a USATF Level 1 certified track and cross country coach. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Sherrill serves as an Admissions Counselor at Concordia Texas, allowing him to support student-athletes both in competition and throughout their collegiate experience.
