Bea Machado Santos was named the graduate assistant for the men's and women's tennis teams for Concordia Texas in August of 2018. She will assist head men's and women's tennis coach Luke Helm in day-to-day duties.

Machado Santos comes to Concordia Texas from the University of Missouri where she played tennis and served as the student assistant for the Mizzou tennis team in the fall of 2017. She earned her bachelor's degree in sports management from Missouri in 2016.

In her time with the Tigers, Machado Santos reached high #10 in doubles and #36 in singles in the Division I tennis rankings. She was named second team All-ASC in back-to-back seasons and was also a part of the SEC Community Service Team. Additionally, she was the 2016 ITA/Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award Recipient.

Growing up in Lisbon, Portgual, Machado Santos became a U-18 Portugese National Champion in tennis. Her parents currently live in Portugal with her younger brother, David, while her sister, Laura, is a doctor in Belgium.

Machado Santos is currently resides in Austin, Texas, and is working towards an MBA at Concordia.Â
