High School:
Four-year letterwinner as a sprinter and jumper at Pharr-San Juan-Alamo … Team captain who has personal-best marks of 22.2 seconds in the 200-meter dash, 41-feet, 11-inches in the triple jump and 6-4 in the high jump … Was a regional qualifier in the high jump, triple jump, 4x100-, 4x200- and 4x400-meter relays … Also played football and basketball every year as a safety and guard … Was named all-valley and all-district in both sports and captained each team … Averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds as a senior in basketball … Finished senior football campaign with 60 tackles and five interceptions … Lettered in baseball for one year … All-academic selection … Graduated in top 10 percent of class … Member of the National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Spanish Club and Student Government.
