Jasmine Houston joined the Concordia Texas track & field coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Houston brings a diverse background in coaching, athlete development, and performance training. A USATF Level 1 Certified Coach, she specializes in sprint mechanics, speed development, movement quality, and injury prevention. She has worked with youth and college-prep athletes, designing evidence-based training programs that emphasize technical development, confidence, and long-term athletic success. She also serves as a Performance & Recovery Specialist, helping athletes optimize mobility, recovery, and overall performance.

As a student-athlete at the University of Texas, Houston earned First Team All-America honors, captured an NCAA National Championship, and was later inducted into the Penn Relays Hall of Fame.

Houston earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Texas and has continued her professional development through executive education in health, wellness, nutrition, and coaching. In addition to her USATF certification, she is an EXOS Performance Specialist and a Licensed Massage Therapist in Texas and Illinois.

She is passionate about mentoring student-athletes both on and off the track while fostering a positive team culture built on growth, discipline, and excellence.
