Concordia Texas Athletics

Keenan Hughes is a prominent figure in women’s flag football in Texas. He serves as the first ever head coach for the women’s flag football team at Concordia University Texas. Under his leadership, Concordia became the first university in Texas to introduce women’s flag football as a collegiate sport, launching a pilot program in the spring of 2025. 

Hughes also is the Director of Offense and coach for the 18u Red team at Texas Fury, an all-girls select flag football organization. During his tenure, he has guided teams to six national championships. 

In addition to his coaching roles, Hughes is the Marketing and Media Director at Photo Texas Photography.  He is also active on social media, sharing updates and engaging with the community through his Instagram account.

Hughes’s efforts have significantly contributed to the growth and recognition of women’s flag football in Texas, providing new opportunities for female athletes in the sport.
