Longview, Texas- The Concordia University Texas volleyball team picked up two wins over the weekend at the American Southwest Conference (ASC) cross-over at LeTourneau University in Longview, TX. Concordia is now 9-15 overall and 5-10 in ASC play. 

In Friday's match against Letourneau, Concordia sweep the Yellow Jackets in three straight sets 25-28, 27-25, and 25-19. 

The Tornados split Saturday's matches picking up a 3-2 (25-22, 29-31, 20-25, 25-16, 16-14) win over Mississippi College followed by a 0-3 (25-10, 25-19, 25-16) loss to East Texas Baptist University. 

Offensively the Tornados were led by sophomore Carrie Fisk with 36 kills over the course of the cross-over weekend while, senior Valerie Martinez finished with 48 assists. Defensively Sara Keithley led the way with 59 digs over the 2-1 weekend. 

Concordia will return to ASC action on Tuesday October 21, 2008 against Texas Lutheran University at 6:00 PM. Due to continued construction on the Concordia Field House, the match will be played at Vista Ridge High School.
