SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Concordia Texas volleyball team dropped its season opener Wednesday night in a 3-0 (14-25, 12-25, 16-25) decision to No. 12 Trinity. 

#Kalynn White# and #Amanda Affolter# led Concordia (0-1) with five kills each in the loss.  Affolter posted a team-high 25 attack attempts in her collegiate debut.

#Carrie Fisk# paced the Tornados on the defensive end of the court with eight digs.  #Haley Phillips# recorded a team best nine assists for Concordia.  Freshman #Bianca Martinez# posted two assists in her collegiate debut.

Trinity (3-0) received five kills from four different players to remain undefeated.

Concordia will return to the court this weekend as the Tornados travel to Sherman to take part in the University of Dallas Tournament, which will be played at Austin College.  The Tornados are scheduled to play Hendrix College at 2 p.m. on Sept. 5, followed by Austin College at 4 p.m.
