SAN ANTONIO -- The Concordia University Texas volleyball team lost its season opener on Wednesday night in a road contest at Our Lady of the Lake, 3-1, by scores of 25-19, 15-25, 18-25, and 15-25.
The Tornados jumped out to a 1-0 advantage in the match after winning the first set, 25-19. However, the Saints stormed back to win three straight sets in the season-opener for both teams.
Concordia was paced offensively by #Alison Pringle# and #Kalynn White# with five kills apiece. Pringle posted a .312 hitting percentage in her collegiate debut. #Bianca Martinez# guided the Tornados offense with a team-high eight assists. #Jessie Mundfrom# collected seven digs in her collegiate debut.
Overall, 16 CTX players made an appearance in the contest.
Concordia will travel to Tyler this weekend to take part in the Trinity Mother Frances Tournament, hosted by Texas-Tyler. The Tornados will play at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. on Saturday.
