Kalynn White posted her fourth straight double-double and
Kevyn Jackson added 17 digs, but the Concordia University Texas volleyball team fell in a five-set marathon to Trinity on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Sam's Gym. The Tigers rallied to win by set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 25-17, 16-25 and 15-7.
White recorded 12 kills and 12 digs to pace the Tornados, who are still on pace to post their first winning season since 2000. Jackson added a service ace in addition to her 17 digs, while
Bianca Martinez also finished with a double-double by accumulating 28 assists and 12 digs.
Shelbi Chipman added 14 digs, nine kills and a team-high three service aces.
Trinity (14-12), which has been ranked as high as 23rd nationally by the American Volleyball Coaches Association this season, was led by the double-double performances of Maryn Swierc and Maggie Emodi. Swierc notched 39 assists and 11 digs, while Emodi had 10 kills and 13 digs.
Concordia (12-10) will travel to Abilene for two conference matches, beginning with a visit to reigning tournament champion Hardin-Simmons tomorrow at 7 p.m.
