Kalynn White ended a stellar career with a combined 35 kills and 37 digs in her final appearances as a collegian, but the Concordia University Texas volleyball team dropped all four of its matches in three sets at the Southwestern Halloween Tournament on Oct. 28-29 at Robertson Arena. The Tornados fell to St. Thomas, Austin College, Southwestern and Texas Wesleyan at the two-day event.
In addition to leading the team in kills and ranking second on the squad in digs, White also added six blocks and four service aces.
Kevyn Jackson, who was also appearing in her final matches as a Tornado, contributed a team-high 63 digs along with four aces.
Bianca Martinez had 51 digs, 25 assists and one double-double performance, while
Alison Pringle led the Tornados with 10 blocks.
Concordia ended its 2011 campaign with a 13-17 ledger overall and a 9-9 mark in conference play, placing fourth in the ASC West Division. The squad loses two seniors to graduation and is slated to return 12 letterwinners, including five starters, next season.
