The beginning of the second set proved to be the most competitive part of the match, as the Tornados gave up the first two points and came within a point on two occasions courtesy of

McMurry controlled the third set from the start and jumped out to a 9-1 lead. The Tornados, who hit -.152 in the set and -.011 in the match, attempted to rally and came within six points four times, but the visitors proved to be too much. Two Concordia attacking errors following a kill by Kasi Conners sealed the final 25-11 outcome.
