MARSHALL, Texas – Alison Pringle sparked a come-from-behind, five-set victory for the Concordia University Texas volleyball team over Mississippi College on Friday afternoon at Keys Gym. The Tornados lost the opening frame, but rallied to win the American Southwest Conference (ASC) contest by scores of 17-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19 and 15-5.

Concordia Texas (5-10, 2-4 ASC) was tied in the fourth set, 7-7, with the Lady Choctaws (4-11, 1-6 ASC) before Pringle entered the match.

The 5-foot-10 senior had an immediate impact, racking up four kills and giving the Tornados a 21-17 advantage. After the two clubs traded the next four points, Alissa Johnson was set up for a winner by Sam Ladewig to give CTX a 24-19 lead. On the ensuing play, Mississippi College's attack was thwarted by Emma Clifford, which tied the match.

Concordia took full control in the final panel.

The Tornados raced out to an 11-3 lead and cruised the rest of way, winning four of the final six tallies to clinch the league tilt.

Clifford paced Concordia's attack with 13 kills, while Johnson and Katie Baker each registered double-doubles. Johnson racked up 11 winners and 12 digs, while Baker also had 11 kills to go along with a match-high 18 stops.
