BOX SCORE SEGUIN, Texas – The Concordia University Texas volleyball team dominated its season opener, sweeping former American Southwest Conference foe Schreiner in the first match of the Bulldog Classic at Susan Duke Court. The Tornados won the contest by scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-19.
Katie Baker logged a double-double to lead Concordia Texas to a win in head coach
Nicole McCoy's debut. Baker pounded a match-high 14 kills and collected 10 digs.
Carly Custer tallied eight winners and nine digs in her collegiate debut, while
Zoe Allen dished out 28 assists and guided Concordia Texas to a .325 hitting percentage.
Cassie Dominguez recorded a match-best 13 digs, while Custer and
Jordan Redmond each racked up three service aces.
The Tornados limited the Mountaineers to a .106 hitting percentage and forced 15 attack errors.
Concordia will play tournament host Texas Lutheran at 4 p.m.
