AUSTIN, Texas –
Four Concordia University Texas players registered double-digit kills, and the Tornados volleyball team came from behind to knock off Howard Payne, 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-19), on Tuesday night at Concordia Fieldhouse.

Jordan Redmond led all players with 13 kills, while Katie Baker (12 kills/14 digs), Sara Hill (12 kills/12 digs) and Zoe Allen (39 assists/14 digs) all tallied double-doubles. Carly Custer chipped in on the offensive side with 11 winners, while Cassie Dominguez posted a match-high 24 digs.

Concordia Texas (6-4, 2-0 ASC) bounced back after losing the first set to win the next three and remain unbeaten in league action.

Allen guided the Tornados to a .224 hitting percentage on 170 attacks.

Emmalee Kohler helped hold the Lady Jackets (0-8, 0-3 ASC) to a .110 hitting percentage by recording seven total blocks (one solo/six assists).

Concordia, which improved to 2-0 in conference play for the first time since 2002, will host I-35 rival and 23rd-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
