AUSTIN, Texas –
Fueled by a pair of double-doubles from Sara Hill, the Concordia University Texas volleyball team picked up two non-conference victories on Saturday at Concordia Fieldhouse. The Tornados rallied to knock off Our Lady of the Lake in five sets (16-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 15-13) and then swept Wiley by scores of 25-18, 25-23 and 27-25.

Concordia Texas (4-3) fell behind against the Saints (0-1), dropping the first two sets. However, the Tornados came all the way back and won the final three frames to start the day.

In the nightcap, CTX tallied double-digit kills in each of the three panels to earn their third sweep of the year. The Wildcats (3-8) were limited to a .104 hitting percentage in the contest.

Hill racked up 14 kills and 10 digs in the opening contest and then capped off the day with 11 winners and 13 stops.

Meanwhile, Katie Baker posted a dozen kills against Wiley. Jordan Redmond netted 12 winners versus Our Lady of the Lake, while Zoe Allen handed out a total of 82 assists (44/38) in the two contests.

The Tornados will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 13, when the squad travels to Alpine to play a pair of matches. Concordia will open American Southwest Conference play against Sul Ross State at 11 a.m., before facing McMurry in a non-conference tilt at 1 p.m.
