BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas -- The Concordia Texas volleyball team got back into the win column Wednesday night, taking home a 3-0 victory over Schreiner at the Concordia Fieldhouse.

Jordan Redmond paced the Tornado attack with 10 kills. Skye Truss was extremely effective, as well, landing eight kills in 17 swings and making only three attacking errors.  Truss and teammate Shelby Barker drilled three service aces apiece.

Defensively, Lexi Perez collected 16 digs.

After the Tornados took the opener by the minimum, 25-23, the Mountaineers established a 9-5 advantage to start the second set. 

Head coach Nicole McCoy called a timeout and afterwards, Concordia responded with a 16-4 scoring burst, grabbing a 21-13 advantage. The Tornados closed the set with a 25-18 victory. CTX grabbed the sweep with a 25-20 triumph in the finale.

The Tornados travel to UT Tyler for the second ASC Crossover tournament this weekend, where they will take on LeTourneau and the host Patriots.
