BOX SCORE TYLER, Texas -- The Concordia Texas volleyball team was on the short end of a 3-0 decision Friday against UT Tyler. The match was one of two the Tornados will play in the second ASC Crossover Tournament of the year.

Concordia went toe-to-toe with UT Tyler in the first and second sets, but the Patriots used long runs and a strong block to grab both sets 25-23. The first two sets saw a combined 19 ties and eight lead changes. The hosts used the momentum gained to grab the closing set 25-15.

Katie Baker led the Tornados with eight kills and 11 digs. Jordan Redmond also had eight kills. Nacole Miller knocked down a CTX career-best five kills while collecting 26 assists.

Concordia will take on LeTourneau tomorrow afternoon to close out the tournament.
