AUSTIN, Texas -- The Concordia Texas volleyball team clinched the West Division second seed for the American Southwest Conference Volleyball Tournament, the league announced late last night.

The Tornados posted an ASC record of 7-5 to qualify for the spot. UT Dallas went undefeated in league play to earn the conference's top seed and the right to host the festivities

Concordia will take on UT Tyler on Thursday to open the double-elimination tournament. The winner of that match goes on to face the No. 19 Comets while the loser takes on the loser of the ETBU vs. Hardin-Simmons contest.

Over the course of the 2015 campaigh, the Tornados suffered 3-0 losses to the Patriots and the Tigers while splitting the home-and-home duels with the Cowgirls.

Concordia still has several matches to play prior to the tournament, taking on Texas Lutheran, Schreiner and Our Lady of the Lake.
