AUSTIN, Texas – Josh Sanchez scored 36 points and led the Concordia University Texas men's basketball team to a 99-84 victory over Texas-Tyler on Saturday at Concordia Fieldhouse.
Sanchez, who netted 26 of his game-high 36 points in the second half, was one of seven seniors honored prior to the game.

Andre Potts also were honored during the Senior Day ceremony.
The Tornados (15-8, 11-7 ASC) took a 37-36 lead on
Rashad Coleman's free throw with 1:54 left in the opening period. CTX never looked back. The Tornados led 43-38 at the half.
In the final 20 minutes, Concordia Texas quickly built a double-digit advantage, thanks to a 8-3 spurt out of the locker room. The Tornados increased their lead to as much as 19 in the second half.
Concordia shot 53.7 percent from the field, including 46.2 percent from downtown. Sanchez hit seven 3-pointers, while
PJ Escobar scored a season-high 13 points. Coleman added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Anthony Gonzales Jr. paced the Patriots (3-21, 2-17 ASC) with 34 points.
The Tornados will close out the regular season on the road next week. Concordia will play at Hardin-Simmons on Thursday, Feb. 19. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Abilene.
