BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 BELTON, Texas -- The Concordia Texas volleyball team fell twice Friday, suffering two 3-0 sweeps against East Texas Baptist and No. 24 UT Dallas in the first day of action at the ASC Crossover Tournament, hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Despite valliant efforts in the first and second sets, the Tornados just could not close the gap with the Tigers in Friday's opening match.

Katie Baker led the attack for Concordia, recording 10 kills against her former school while Lexi Perez garnered a match-high 21 digs.

Jordan Redmond played well at the net, recording five block assists.

Three ETBU players tallied 10 kills each.

UTD d. CTX 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-17)

The No. 24 Comets proved to be too much for the Tornados in Friday's nightcap. Perez once again led the defensive effort for Concordia.

The Tornados conclude crossover action tomorrow afternoon against Bellhaven in a non-conference battle.
