Kelly Farina and junior
Carly Custer both tallied double-doubles to pace the Concordia Texas volleyball team to a 3-2 triumph over McMurry Tuesday night in the Tornados' home finale.
Farina tallied a match-high 22 kills and 10 digs while Custer added 17 kills and 12 digs.
Marissa Stinson also recorded double-digit kills with 16.
Lianne VanDyke dished out 52 assists while Lexi Perex grabbed a match-best 23 digs.
The Tornados rallied after dropping the opening set 25-19. Stinson hit a perfect seven kills on seven attacks while Custer went 6-for-8 without an attacking error to lead the CTX charge in a 25-17 second frame win. Farina came up big in the third, landing nine kills on 10 swings without an error to lead the Tornados to a 25-22 victory. She account for five of six CTX points during a 6-0 run.
The War Hawks came back to force a fifth set after controlling the fourth for a 25-19 tally.
Concordia and McMurry tied twice during the decider, but the Tornados never let go of the lead after breaking a 2-2 stalemate. Farina and Custer combined for eight of CTX's 15 points in the 15-9 win.

The Tornados head to Texas Lutheran for the TLU Halloween Classic. CTX will take part three matches over the course of the weekend. The Tornados battle the host Bulldogs and Sul Ross State on Friday then wrap up the season against Birmingham Southern on Saturday.
