SEGUIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Texas Lutheran Thursday afternoon.

Carly Custer led the way for the Tornados with eight kills and 11 digs. Courtney Gopinath added five kills to help the offensive effort. TLU's Kristin Fording had a match-high 17 kills.

The Bulldogs (1-0) took the opening set from the Tornados (0-1), despite the fact CTX led as late as 20-18. TLU went on to win the set 25-21.

The momentum carried the hosting Bulldogs into the second set, taking the frame 25-17. TLU took the third 25-15, but the Tornados fought off an opening 10-4 run in the frame.
