BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas volleyball squad suffered a 3-0 sweep against Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday night at the Concordia Fieldhouse.
The Tornados came out strong in the first set, but a long 19-4 rally from the Cru closed the frame at 25-16 in favor of the visitors.
CTX and UMHB combined for 12 ties in the second frame. The teams were tied as late as 20 aside, but the Cru went on a 5-2 rally to win, 25-22, and go up 2-0 in the match overall.
UMHB controlled the final set virtually wire-to-wire and took the sweep with a 25-19 victory.
Brooke Camet had a CTX-high eight kills and match-best three solo blocks.
The Tornados host Austin College tomorrow at 1 p.m. in their final home non-conference tilt of the 2016 campaign.
