In the second half, the Tornados started off slow, trailing 69-54 after the first two minutes of the half. But a quick 6-0 run by CTX cut the deficit back to 10 points. CTX continually battled, shrinking the Yellowjackets' lead to nine after two Coleman free-throws with 10:29 left in the game. LETU would then go on an 8-2 run and eventually push their lead to 120-98; before the Tornados would close the game on an 8-1 run as they lost 121-106.
This was CTX's first game since Dec. 19, when they defeated Louisiana College 86-79. This was the first of three straight road games for the Tornados as they will next travel to Tyler, Texas, to face UT Tyler on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. and then close out the trip at Louisiana College on Monday night.
