BELTON, Texas – Facing the second-seeded Mary Hardin-Baylor in the quarterfinals of the American Southwest Conference Tournament, the Concordia Texas women's soccer team fell 4-0 on Tuesday.
The Tornados would record four shots, two of them on goal for the day. Shelby Franco, meanwhile, defended against 22 Cru shots and tallied eight saves for the game.
CTX would hang with UMHB until the 20th minute, when the Cru would put into a cross into the back of the net and led 1-0. The Tornados would not allow another goal in the half and trailed 1-0 at the break.
In the second half, UMHB would extend their lead as they scored three more goals to make it 4-0 by the 63rd minute. Franco would record her final save of the game in the 90th minute and keep it 4-0 as CTX's season came to an end.
The Tornados finish their season with at least 10 wins for the third time in program history and made their eighth-straight conference tournament appearance.
