Ben Page recorded his fourth double-double of the season but the Tornados came up short against Howard Payne on Saturday, losing 93-84.
Page would finish with 21 points and 12 rebounds, his second straight double-double after a 15-point, 11-rebound performance on Thursday against Sul Ross State. He would add a career-high five assists in the game.
Joe Neal, meanwhile, had 16 points, putting him over 1000 points for his career at CTX. He becomes the 16th player in program history to reach the 1000-point plateau joining teammate
Ephriam Price III, who reached the prestigious mark on Monday.
The Tornados would shoot 48 percent in the first half and led by as much as 15 points, but trailed by two at the end of the half.
In the second half, CTX struggled from field, knocking down only five of their 17 three-pointers. The Tornados would cut the deficit to three though with 5:45 remaining after a
Joshua Samuels three.
Concordia Texas would try and rally, but the comeback fell short as the Yellow Jackets won 93-84.
