Tornados rout McMurry 97-62 for fourth straight win

AUSTIN, Texas – Four Tornados scored in double figures led by Joe Neal's 18 points and the Concordia Texas men's basketball team won their fourth-straight game after a 97-62 rout of McMurry on Thursday.

It was all Tornados from the jump as they scored 18 of the game's first 20 points on their way to a 49 percent shooting performance from the floor for the half and led 50-23 at the midway point.

In the second half, CTX would continue to dominate the War Hawks highlighted by a DeTarrius Kirk alley-oop dunk from Ronnie Hamilton.

The Tornados would keep the pedal to the floor to the final whistle, pushing their lead to a 37-point advantage with under a minute to play as they won their fourth game in a row and fifth of their last six contests with a 97-62 win.

Neal would the totaled 18 points to lead the team in scoring in 24 minutes while also tallying five assists and grabbing four rebounds. Hamilton would go 9-for-11 from the charity stripe and finish with 16, the seventh time he's finished in double figures this season.

Spencer Bone, meanwhile, knocked down three of his four made field goals from behind the arc on the way to an 11-point performance, while Quintin Crawford scored a career-high 10 points in five minutes off the bench.

Concordia Texas will have a quick turnaround as they host Hardin-Simmons on Saturday at 3 p.m., going for their fifth conference win in a row.
