The Tornados, playing as the No. 2 seed in the tournament, hosted the No. 7 seeded Blazers, who were making their conference tournament debut.
Concordia Texas opened the scoring first as
Xavier Polk took advantage of a Belhaven defensive mishap in the 3rd minute, smashing the ball into the back of the net for a 1-0 advantage.
The Blazers did not fold though, countering with goals in the 19th and 34th minute to go on top 2-1.
The Tornados nearly evened it at 2-all in the 40th minute after earning a penalty kick, but
Rodrigo Arellano's shot hit the left post, keeping the deficit at 2-1.
In the second half, CTX came out on the attack offensively, registering 15 shots in the period alone.
In the 49th minute, Torres brought the Tornados level with his rocket of a shot into the top-right corner of the net off a pocket pass by Polk.
Eleven minutes later, CTX went back on top when Gomez sped past a pair of BU defenders and fired his shot past goalkeeper Max Rudolph to make it 3-2.
The Tornados would play lockdown defense the rest of the way, allowing the Blazers only one shot, going on to a 3-2 win and advancing to the ASC Tournament semis.
Concordia Texas reaches the conference tournament semifinals for the third time in four years and will next face the No. 3 seed Mary Hardin-Baylor, who defeated East Texas Baptist 2-0 on Tuesday.
