Joe Neal scored a game-high 28 points, but it was not enough as the Concordia Texas men's basketball team's season came to end against UT Dallas on Friday, falling 88-69 in the semifinals of the American Southwest Conference Tournament.
The senior from Houston shot 11-of-20 from the field, scoring 28 points. He would also dish out six assists and grab three rebounds.
In the first half, the Tornados and Comets would go back and forth. Concordia Texas would take their largest lead of the game, using a 13-0 run to take a 30-23 lead halfway through the half.
At the end of the half, the Tornados would trail UTD 40-38.
In the second half, the Comets would open with a 26-6 run.
Concordia Texas was unable to close the gap as UTD ran away with it, defeating the Tornados 88-69.
Philip Meikle scored nine points before missing most of the second half due to injury, while
Spencer Bone knocked down two threes in the game.
The Tornados' season ends in the American Southwest Conference Tournament semifinals for the second time in three years.
