GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 7-2 to Southwestern on Friday.
The Tornados would trail early, losing all three matches in doubles.
In the singles,
Joshua Bode would remain undefeated in singles, winning at line one 6-1, 7-5.
Evan Pena Jr. would also grab a win for the Tornados at line five, battling back from a set down for a 2-6, 6-3, 12-10 victory.
The Pirates would wrap up the rest of the matches, winning the team match 7-2.
Concordia Texas returns to the courts on March 2 when they will face Texas Wesleyan at 2 p.m. at the Arlington Tennis Center.
