Joshua Bode and
Hoanh Le each won their singles match and the Concordia Texas men's tennis team rolled past Our Lady of the Lake 6-3 on Thursday.
The Tornados started off strong, winning two of the three doubles matches against the Saints. Bode, paired with teammate
Esteban Arredondo, won at line one 8-2, while Le and
Jorge Garcia, at line two, won a thrilling tiebreaker 7-4 to win the match.
In the singles matches, Bode would pick up a win at line one after his opponent retired, while Le would take care of business at line two, winning the third set 6-4.
Evan Pena Jr. secured the win for CTX with a dominating straight-set win at line six, while Garcia would close out the team win with a come-from-behind three-set victory at line five, winning the decisive tiebreaker 7-4.
Next, the Tornados will travel to Longview, Texas for a matchup with Centenary on March 22 at 11 a.m.
